International Submarine Image Festival

As part of FIIS 2017, the Oceanogràfic launches an online photograph contest for anyone to participate in. Anyone who loves underwater photography in general, professionals or amateurs can take part, provided they are aged over 16 and are the authors of the photographs presented for this contest.This call intends to promote underwater photography as an artistic expression, and to encourage the participation of professionals and fans so they can reflect the excellence of the marine world with their work.A jury made up of prestigious underwater photography professionals will select the best portfolios, who will receive the following awards:

* We inform participants that the value of each award shall represent personal income in accordance with the tax base amount of the value of each award, according to Spanish law currently in force. The Organiser shall apply a tax deduction in line with this law. The Organiser shall request the award-winners documents to accredit their place of residence, including a certificate to certify it, and any other document that it considers necessary for this purpose. (**) To enjoy the free square is an indispensable condition to go with thecompanion. The awarded works will also be on show as part of FIIS 2017 by being included in a large photograph display.

To participate and to opt for the above awards, it is necessary to register on the FIIS website via this link, and to provide all the data and files requested when agreeing to the indications provided on the registration form. There will be no maximum limit to the number of participants allowed.  Registration is completely free of charge.  
Contest dates:

  • Registration period: 15 February to 30 April 2017.
  • Awards Announcement: 27 May 2017.
  • Award Ceremony: Sunday 28 May at the Red Sea Auditorium of the Oceanogràfic during the FIIS 2017 Closing Ceremony
