Today Leandro Blanco has been acknowledged worldwide as one of the best producers in the underwater documentary sector. Among his many awards, that for the Best Producer stands out, which he received from the BBC Wildlife Magazine. In 2004 he was nominated Diver of the Year in the USA for his contribution to the underwater filming art. He is an Honorary UK Royal Photographic Society member. In 2009 he was appointed a member of the prestigious US Academia Ocean Artists Society. He is the only producer who has won the prestigious Antibes Festival for 10 years running in different categories. Photographers like David Doubilet and legendary film makers like Stan Waterman have praised his work. Peter Scoones (BBC Blue Planet) once said: “His work is among the best in the world”. He has filmed for the Cousteau Society and is currently working for the National Geographic Channel.
